Totally Construction East Africa brought you four events under one roof designed to provide methods to increase sustainability in East African construction projects with access to innovative building systems, quality control enforcement and testing techniques, and alternative technologies that reduce construction costs by 30%. In 2016 Totally Construction East Africa incorporated The African Cement and Concrete Summit presented by Totally Concrete East Africa, the Housing for East Africa Forum and Commercial Property Developers East Africa Briefing. The event gave front row access to construction business opportunities of all sizes across East Africa's high growth and high risk markets.

Ronald Ndegwa, Managing Director at Savannah Cement speaks to CNBC Africa about cement demand in Kenya. Ndegwa was interviewed at the 3rd annual Totally Construction East Africa conference and expo which took place 4 - 5 October 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya. Cement consumption in Kenya has been on the rise over the last decade, driven by capital intensive infrastructure projects in energy and transport. However, consumption slowed down in the second quarter of 2016, as projects such as the Standard Gauge Railway near completion. Watch the video for more insight into the matter.
